Putting County First

Day Two

PUTTING COUNTY FIRST

Things have change: This is where leadership counts due to conditions Republicans are changing plans. This will be a great opportunity to show where putting county first is a true statement. The republicans are showing that leadership and putting county first where lives of Americans are at stake. The Governors of gulf states are showing that leadership and doing the job that American voters have elected them to do. Politics another day.

This is where a true marvick stands out: Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin.

Spotted at the hotel were George Will and 10th Congressional Candidate Chris Hacket.

THEY HAVE ARRIVED

LIVE FROM Minneapolis-St. Paul

The delegates have arrived!

Michael Taluto, Rose Ann Gaetano of Lackawanna County, Paul DeFabo and Delores Strish of Luzerne County have landed.

At 9:30 a.m. Saturday the delegation has arrived at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport with a convention greeting from the host city. They greet us with a warm Minnesota welcome and smile.

Paul, Delores and Rose wore the famous “Obama Busters” T-Shirt a creation of Paul DeFabo. The shirts got a lot of interest from many folks at the airport. People were asking where did you get the shirts. What a creative idea.

FEW HOURS AND COUNTING

Well its here…..my Friends

I am getting ready to leave to attend my 6th republican convention. I started this journey just twenty years ago in New Orleans. Look forward for live update from Minneapolis/ St Paul starting Saturday, August 30, 2008. Let celebrate the themes of Service, Reform, Prosperity and Peace. It’s going to be a great convention. Let start the Grand Old Party.

See you in Minneapolis St Paul in a few hours.

Sarah Palin she will be a great vice president…

Sarah Palin

WOW !!!!

Republican Sen. John McCain has chosen Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate, a surprise pick that seemed sure to shake up the race. Illustrating the risk of the move, Palin, 44, was the mayor of a small Alaska town just two years ago.
This will surely bring a number of independent women to the GOP....

17 Days to GO!

Only 17 Days to Go!

The first day of the convention is only 17 days away, and we are excited to be implementing the plans we have been working on for over a year. On July 21, the convention got the keys to the Xcel Energy Center and began the six week build-out of the arena, preparing it to welcome our 45,000 convention guests. Soon after, we announced the official block schedule for the week’s events. Outfitting the "X" with the equipment needed to accommodate all of the convention participants and the packed schedule we have laid out is a massive undertaking. By the time the proceedings begin, the convention complex will house 475,000 square feet of media space; more than 25 miles of analog, digital, fiber, and phone cable; and 135 miles of copper wiring. In an effort to allow those at home to see the transformation as it happens, we are posting a behind-the-scenes, time-lapse video of our progress every week between now and the convention. To view the latest time-lapse video from the third week, click here.
